Q&A with David Mohr

David Mohr, PhD, is director of the Center for Behavioral Intervention Technologies (CBITs), and Professor of Behavioral (Preventative) Medicine and Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Mohr's research looks naturalistically and pragmatically at the design factors that make digital mental health products "work in the real world," and develops research methods that can more effectively assess their efficacy. His work integrates these observations into design principles and research methods for improving their impact on patients. Dr. Mohr's team at Northwestern University's Center for Behavioral Intervention Technologies (CBITs) develops and tests applications, one recent example being the low-burden, skills-based app Intellicare. He is also a thought leader in innovation strategy and has helped to envision sustainable goals for digital mental health that can enable and accelerate innovation in the field.
